Bishops Bay, Wisconsin
Bishops Bay Country Club was founded in 1995 by Madison entrepreneur Sam Jacobsen. Mr. Jacobsen enlisted Illinois golf course architect Bob Lohmann to design our parkland-style 18 hole championship course with the focus on utilizing the natural beauty of our two hundred and twenty plus acres of south-central Wisconsin topography. During the fall of 2019, we embarked on a major course renovation designed and built by Oliphant Golf which included bunker size reduction and relocation in addition to numerous greenside runoff areas.
An abundance of holes have significant elevation changes that provide perfect vantage points to enjoy picturesque views of the rolling countryside, Lake Mendota, and even the Capitol building. We pride ourselves with exceptional playing conditions that include bent grass tees, fairways, and greens, along with bluegrass/fescue primary rough. Venture too far offline, and you will experience several holes in native grass areas providing additional challenge and beauty during your round. Enjoy taking in the scenery and challenge every hole provides!
