Giuliano Joins LGA Singapore

Steven Giuliano, one of Asia’s best known golf coaches, is the latest addition to the Leadbetter Golf Academy team in Singapore

For more than 20 years, Steven Giuliano has been inspiring golfers to achieve high performance through structured training and coaching strategies.

With a hands-on approach and a deep knowledge in how the body moves in three dimensions, the Australian PGA member has been among the most sought-after instructors in Asia.

As well as working closely with an array of elite amateurs and professionals on the Asian Tour, Asian Development Tour and PGM Tour in Malaysia, Giuliano has been coach to two-time Ladies European Tour winners Stacey Keating of Australia and Indian Aditi Ashok, who won the hearts of golf fans around the world at the Tokyo Olympics where she narrowly missed out on a bronze medal.

“Game improvement and skill-based instruction has always been at the forefront of my training philosophy, targeting all aspects of the game from full swing mechanics, short game and putting performance to player development,” said Giuliano, who took up his post at the Leadbetter Golf Academy (LGA) at the end of October, having completed his 14-day quarantine.

“It’s a fabulous coup for us to have recruited Steven. He’ll be a huge asset to the Leadbetter Golf Academy. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”

Stephen Moriarty, Director for Southeast Asia, said: “It’s a fabulous coup for us to have recruited Steven. Over the past two decades, he’s built an outstanding reputation for excellence. He’ll be a huge asset to the Leadbetter Golf Academy. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”

Giuliano’s role within the academy will be predominantly to help develop professionals and elite juniors based in Singapore and also attract people to the academy for training programs once travel opens up and Covid-19 restrictions are eased.

“Steven takes a structured approach to his coaching and training, ensuring the student understands both their strengths and weaknesses in devising the best improvement plan for the individual,” said Moriarty.

“It’s a formula that has enabled him to assist countless golfers to reach their optimal potential,” he added.

Giuliano is especially well known for his short-game expertise. As well as being a Level II Harold Swash Certified Putting Instructor, he’s also acknowledged as one of the world’s foremost authorities on AimPoint green reading techniques.

Giuliano said: “I’ve worked with leading male and female professionals as well as with national teams in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia. Now, I’m excited about working with Stephen and the excellent team here at the Leadbetter Golf Academy in Singapore.

“Without doubt, the facilities at Laguna Practice are genuinely world-class. It’s a pleasure to be able to work in an environment which is so conducive to game improvement.”
